To date, the Bull Dogs have been confirmed for 2 tournaments. They are: the "Ottawa 67’s Experience" at the Ottawa Civic Centre, Friday and Saturday, January 30 – 31, 2009 and the "Rogers House Tournament" (Ottawa), Friday to Sunday, April 3-5, 2009. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
Each month, KMHA will run Goalie Development sessions for the Novice Division as part of its Development initiatives. All sessions are free of charge and will be held at the Belltown Dome, on Sundays from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm. The sessions will start with the basics and progress to more difficult aspects of goaltending. Jean-Francois Tremblay, the Bull Dogs’ goalie coach, will have a set of drills to run during practices based on the Goalie Development sessions.
The first session will begin on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Since players wishing to play goalie are encouraged to attend, please advise Coach Michael Olsen if your son is interested so that he can manage the player’s participation and equipment detail.
The Bull Dogs will use St. James Catholic School on Friday evenings from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm starting November 14, 2008 for team building purposes. There is no fee. An information sheet is posted in team documents section of this website. While this activity is optional, these off-ice sessions will play a key role in developing hockey skills for the players as well as basic team concepts.
A team statistic link (managed by the KMHA) has been added to our website. It can be found in the "Links" window on the left column of our website. After selecting the "Team Stats" link, choose "Novice B" from the Division section in the left window pane. From the menu bar near the top of the page, select "STANDINGS" to view stats on how well the Kanata B5 Bull Dogs are doing in our Division or select "BY TEAM" to view the Bull Dog’s record against other Divisional teams.
The 2008/09 league game schedule for the Bull Dogs has been added to the team website. Team practice dates as well as tournament dates will be posted as they become available.
