Announcement
The team has 3 representatives: Mike Olsen (Co-Coach), Shawn Cruise (Co-coach), Patrick McCabe (Manager). (The team is also finalizing an assistant coach and team trainer.) We have indentified/agreed in general on our core responsibilities:
Patrick – Finances, accounting, equipment and day to day business of the team in relation to our responsibilities to the children, you and the KMHA.
Mike – On ice coaching, bench duties, scheduling, extra ice opportunities, tournaments and our affiliation program.
Shawn – Practice planning, player programs and positioning, on ice volunteers, primary bench coach and direct support of Mike and Patrick.
On ice volunteers – Our team will utilize 5 on ice resources per practice. 3 volunteers will be used to support each practice in addition to the coaches. We will provide everyone an opportunity to join the kids on the ice if you wish. Our on-ice volunteers will have taken a speak out course and have had a police background check.
Our Expectations (manager, coaches, volunteers, convener, officials, other teams):
- We will all be treated fairly and with respect
- We will all cheer and congratulate all participants for enjoying the game and having fun
- We will all work to ensure our kids have fun and enjoy their efforts in a safe environment
- You will have a parent or guardian at the rink at all times
